Scientist of the Week
Each week a student will have the opportunity to be our "Scientist of the Week". The young scientist and their adult helper find an experiment or demonstration that they would like to share with the class. You may find one on the internet or come up with one on your own. The “Scientist of the Week” journal has the names of experiments already shared.
Your child should be prepared to teach the class his/her science experiment on the upcoming Friday. He/she will wear the lab coat and goggles and should bring all the materials needed to do the experiment. You may choose to help your child make a poster (large or small) that illustrates the steps of the experiment. Please help our young scientist to practice and explain the concept to the class. The experiments should be kept simple and most of all your child should have fun!! Don’t worry and enjoy! Parents are welcome to come to school and watch and help, but it is not a requirement.
Please be sure to return the lab coat, goggles, and “Scientist of the Week” journal in the bag so the next young scientist can have a turn. If someone is coming to help and/or watch let me know if 8:45am or 12:00pm is best for you.
